SeeTalkGrow: Industry's First Online Music, Film, Technology & Communications Conference

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SeeTalkGrow: Industry's First Online Music, Film, Technology & Communications Conference

HOUSTON, TX - April 28, 2012 - Launched in February, SeeTalkGrow is the world's first music, film, technology, and communications conference taking place entirely online, year round. The new web-based event series provides business professionals with an accessible and cost-effective platform through which to learn, network, and stay informed of industry news, without ever leaving the office.

Guests so far on the show have included music supervisor Barry Coffing, TV producer Greg Wacks of Spreecast, and artist manager Hugh Hession of TalentWatch. Upcoming guests are booked through July, and feature Dave Cool of Bandzoogle, Darren Gallop of Marcato Digital Solutions, and journalist Gayle Falkenthal of The Washington Times Communities.

Founder and show host, Jennifer Grassman, was inspired to launch her "unconventional convention" late last year when she found she was pregnant with her and husband Jason Greenberg's first child. A full time recording artist and music journalist, Grassman explains, "I knew I wouldn't be able to attend SXSW. Bouncing around downtown Austin in the heat of March with swollen feet, an achy back, and random bouts of morning sickness certainly wasn't my idea of a party ... I decided that the answer to all my maternal challenges was to launch my own live online ... conference."

Every SeeTalkGrow event is webcast in real-time, and may feature up to four guests from across the globe. Attendees are able to interact with guests and ask questions via an easy-to-use chat platform, even having the option of talking face to face using their own webcams. Each event is recorded and posted on www.SeeTalkGrow.com once the event concludes. While they do not feature the interactive properties of live events, the videos do document the entire show and are packed with information that viewers can utilize at their leisure, and embed onto their own website or blog.

In addition to the usual industry conference menu of business panels, artist showcases, and film previews, Grassman plans to incorporate the Christian, classical, and jazz industries, plus a whole gamut of interactive workshops for journalists, authors, radio hosts, and other media professionals.

As a publicity platform, SeeTalkGrow is quickly snowballing buzz. Hession's interview generated over 300 views in one day, and Michelle Cowan's artist showcase in early April has garnered over 760.

"If you consider how many attendees the average physical conference panel or showcase generates, those numbers are pretty exciting," Grassman says. "I've participated in panels where I was happy to see 80 people show up. SeeTalkGrow's events are much more heavily attended, and get watched over and over long after they end. That just can't be said of an event confined between four walls."

Starting this May, every SeeTalkGrow event will also be documented and embedded by The Washington Times Communities in a new business column. This, combined with the opportunity to take part in a well attended live online event, provides guests with a valuable platform through which to showcase their professional services, and share their expertise with a focused and interactive audience.
